Workout Set Type
Also called: set type
There are four possible set types you can do in a workout:
- Warmup — sets that you do not do at your maximum load. They are designed to warm up your muscles before doing the real work sets.
- Work — the work sets are the core of your training. These are the sets that you do at, or close to, your maximum load. These are also the sets that you will often train at or close to failure.
- Drop — drop sets are sets you do after you’ve failed your work sets, where the concept is to decrease the load slightly and continue to work your muscles until they fail again at a lighter load.
- Deload — deload sets, which can include backoff sets, are sets that you intentionally do well below your maximum load: either to work on your form, to rest your muscles so they can recover, or even because you were temporarily injured.
Each set type is displayed with a different color. The colors can be configured in Settings › Colors.
